MSC Technology Italia is looking for a Telecommunication Engineer with strong competencies in radio propagation to support the design and implementation of advanced wireless communication solutions. The role is part of our continuous effort to enhance connectivity and enable innovative IoT and digital platforms across the MSC ecosystem. This position offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development of reliable wireless architectures in complex and high demand environments.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform radio propagation analyses, coverage simulations, and performance assessments in harsh or mission critical environments. •Participate in the design, modeling, and validation of antennas for licensed and unlicensed frequency bands. •Evaluate and integrate wireless communication technologies including: Unlicensed: BLE, LoRaWAN, ZigBee / mesh networks, Wi-Fi / Licensed: LTE, Device to Device (D2D), V2X •Support the definition of system architectures, contributing to feasibility studies and technology selection. •Conduct laboratory tests and field measurements to validate propagation models and RF performance. •Prepare technical documentation, system reports, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and project teams. •Collaborate closely with engineering, IoT, and digital platform teams to ensure alignment with MSC’s technology roadmap.
Required Qualifications
•Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines. •Strong understanding of radio propagation principles and wireless communication fundamentals. •Background in antenna theory and experience with modeling/simulation tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, FEKO). •Familiarity with key wireless standards and protocols across sub GHz and GHz frequencies. •Knowledge of RF measurements and instrumentation (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators). •Analytical mindset, problem solving attitude, and capability to work in structured, collaborative environments. •Proficiency in English; Italian is considered a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience working with RAN, mesh networks, IoT deployments, or smart metering systems. •Familiarity with simulation environments such as MATLAB, Simulink, or NS 3. •Understanding of regulatory aspects, spectrum allocation, and compliance requirements. •Exposure to industrial IoT or large scale monitoring solutions.
