Position: Bid Coordinator and Writer Location: Remote (Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00) Salary: £35,000 - 45,000 DOE
We’re looking for a highly organised and talented Bid Coordinator & Writer to play a key role in securing new business opportunities for Babington. This role blends strong coordination and governance skills with high-quality, persuasive writing, supporting the end-to-end bidding process from opportunity identification through to submission and award. You’ll be central to managing bid systems, tender portals and reporting, while also contributing directly to live bids by creating, reviewing and improving compelling, customer-focused written content
In this role you will:. Manage tender portals, ensuring company information is accurate and up to date . Identify and review new opportunities, producing clear opportunity summaries . Maintain and update Babington’s Bid Tracker and performance data . Produce accurate, quality-assured bid activity and performance reports . Manage compliance documentation, PQQs, frameworks and bid submissions . Control bid documentation, deadlines and versioning . Maintain an up-to-date bid and project library . Coordinate client clarifications, information requests and contract documentation . Attend bid kick-off and review meetings as required . Support the development of tailored bid materials including written responses, presentations and pitch content . Contribute to the preparation of high-quality, client-aligned written bid responses . Act as a peer reviewer and “critical friend” on live bids, identifying improvements and ensuring clarity and quality

What we are looking for: .GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent in English and Maths . APMP certification or equivalent (desirable) . Experience working with/managing tender portals . Experience working within in the Education and/or funded learning (apprenticeship) sector or similar . Strong writing, editing and document production skills . At least 3 years’ experience producing high-quality documents to deadlines . Confident managing multiple priorities and varied workloads . High attention to detail and ability to self-review work . Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook . Experience working with tender portals or bid management systems
