Selection 107208 Space Work is seeking 1 Plant Manager for a company specializing in the design, production and distribution of grinding wheels and abrasives. The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the plant, ensuring production efficiency, the quality of industrial processes, and the proper functioning of operational, administrative and commercial activities. Through structured supervision and strong results orientation, the Plant Manager ensures the achievement of the economic and operational targets agreed with the Italian headquarters.
In particular, the role will involve:
• Managing and overseeing all operational, production and logistics activities at the site, ensuring continuity and efficiency of processes.
• Coordinating the administrative, commercial and technical functions, fostering effective collaboration among the various company departments.
• Planning production, optimizing workflows and monitoring costs, with the aim of improving the profitability and efficiency of the plant.
• Monitoring industrial performance and analyzing key plant KPIs, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Managing, motivating and developing staff, promoting a positive work environment focused on collaboration and results.
• Maintaining constant and transparent communication with the Italian parent company, ensuring strategic and operational alignment.
• Collaborating directly with the Group CFO on administrative and financial matters, receiving support and supervision regarding management control activities.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality regulations, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in managerial or leadership roles within manufacturing companies; experience in the abrasives sector is preferred.
• Background gained in medium-sized companies (approximately 30–100 employees) and ideally in multi-country environments or within industrial groups.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes and key industrial practices.
• Strong economic and managerial skills, with the ability to monitor performance, costs and plant KPIs.
• Excellent knowledge of the German language and the ability to communicate effectively in Italian or English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with top management and local stakeholders.
• Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial Management or Materials Engineering).
• Technical diplomas will also be considered if supported by proven experience in the abrasives sector or in structured production environments
